Serial Port Redirector Editor's Review

Serial Port Redirector is a small program which allows you to create virtual serial ports. You can create up to 255 serial ports. When adding a new virtual serial port, you need to select the port number, protocol (Telnet or Raw data), connection settings - time interval for auto reconnect when connection is broken; you get the option to send extra string on port opening or closing. You may also have the option of caching data when connection is broken. You also need to insert the IP address or the name of the remote computer. Once created, you can edit each port's properties, by modifying the features shown above.

Pluses: You only need to create a virtual serial port once, as it doesn't disappear after restart. All data from the virtual serial ports is redirected to specified TCP port on the remote IP address.

Drawbacks / flaws:

In conclusion: Compact, small, well designed and effective, in all, a good networking tool.
